So I recently turned 30. I was bummed, but I have no good reason why. I've met some major goals of mine, yet for some reason I was still anxious about this birthday.
I got a lot of " I don't even remember my 30th birthday" I'm not real sure what I was supposed to do with that information. Was it supposed to be a hint that I'm getting older and my mind is going to start going? Cause that's actually the exact opposite of helpful!!
Welp, if I'm going to start losing my mind, I may as well have fun doing it. So I had a big party!
It seemed appropriate to have a photo booth, but not just any photo booth, no, I wanted the "World's Largest Photo Booth!" Complete with claw foot bathtub and rubber ducky shower curtain. My mentor Tim Engle opened up his studio for me and helped me create the photo booth.
So we stuck my Canon 5DMkII on the studio stand and locked it into place. I hooked up my remote shutter release and Tim's Cam Ranger so we could push all the images to my iPad for people to view and immediately send to themselves for immediate humiliating sharing. We used one Alien Bee 800ws and voilà, some bath time photo booth craziness. I also made some fun personalized signs and thrifted around finding props. Turns out finding the speech bubbles pre-printed isn't so easy. I was running out of time, so I just sent a file to Staples with about 15 different signs. The card stock wasn't quite sturdy enough for my liking so I backed it with a second sheet of heavy paper. I had a blast and I am so grateful to all my amazing friends for celebrating with me, I feel great going into the next decade thanks to you guys. Here are some of the funny pictures, I promise i tried to pick ones that weren't too embarrassing :::wink wink:::
