There is a particular kind of beauty in places that are cared for.

Photographed at the Albuquerque Botanical Garden, this image is part of my ongoing appreciation for botanical spaces and the people who tend them. I love being able to wander, observe, and make photographs without feeling that my presence comes at the expense of the landscape.

There is so much love in a garden. You can feel it in the way a space is maintained, in the attention given to each plant, and in the quiet work of the people who help it flourish.

I believe making photographs should begin with respect for the things we find beautiful. The natural world is not ours to take from; it's something we're fortunate enough to experience.
