Some of the best moments happen before the rest of the world wakes up.

Photographed in Death Valley, this image began with a 4 a.m. alarm and a dark hike into the dunes. The goal was to find untouched sand, where the wind had left behind intricate patterns and sculptural formations, waiting for the first light of morning.

As the sun crept over the landscape, light and shadow revealed the incredible texture of the dunes. I love the way these delicate ripples seem to flow into one another, creating a landscape that feels almost abstract.

It's a reminder that sometimes the most rewarding photographs require a little darkness before the light.

  • Framing Options

    Available unframed or professionally framed in your choice of three finishes: black, white, or natural wood.

    A little framing should never be the reason you talk yourself out of owning a piece of art. I've kept the framed option thoughtfully priced to make bringing a finished piece home as easy as possible.

    Each frame is crafted from solid natural wood and features a 0.75-inch face and 1.375-inch depth. Framed prints are finished with clear protective acrylic glazing.

    The framed artwork measures approximately 13 × 16 inches.

  • Looking for a different size, frame style, or specialty glass? Custom orders are welcome. Please get in touch to discuss available options.

  • Each artwork is printed to order, specifically for your purchase. For this reason, all sales are final, and we do not accept returns or exchanges.

    In the unlikely event that your artwork arrives damaged or has a production defect, please contact us with photographs of the issue. We'll work with you to arrange an appropriate replacement.

  • IteShipping & Delivery

    Each print is made to order, with care taken at every step. Once your artwork is printed, it is sent to my studio for personal inspection before making its way to you.

    Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks for production, inspection, and delivery. This timeframe is an estimate, and occasional delays in production or shipping may occur.
